The event was initiated by Zuur Amirbekov, a leading specialist in the state language of the Osh City Hall, and Masturakhan Sharipova, Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs of Osh State University.
The party was opened by Masuda Aidarbekova, Head of the Social Development Department of Osh, who congratulated on the National Literature Day and thanked the organizers of the event.
In the final competition, the teams of faculties and colleges of Osh State University presented their work in the competition “In the world of literature.” In the first stage of the competition, students presented theatrical performances based on the works of Chingiz Aitmatov and Alykul Osmonov. In the second stage, there were art composition compositions and monologues. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, poet, and writer Zinakan Pasanova chaired the jury.
As a result, the best teams of faculties, colleges, and teachers were awarded diplomas, letters of appreciation, cash prizes, valuable gifts, and a 6-volume collection of works of the Kyrgyz national poet Tazagul Zakirova.
Professor of Osh State University, Doctor of Philology Gulina Zhamgyrchieva also made a presentation on “Challenges of the time in fiction.”
The guests also saw an exhibition of paintings by talented students of the Faculty of Arts, dedicated to the National Literature Day, and a book exhibition of the scientific library of the university.
