The student of Osh State University became the best participant of the Youth Parliamentary School in St. Petersburg
Aigerim Bolot kyzy, a fourth-year student of the Department of Russian and Eurasian Integration at the Osh State University of International Education, took part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the student debates, which took place from November 29 to December 4 at the headquarters of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
Bolot kyzy Aigerim was named the winner of the Internet Olympiad “Electoral Systems of the World” and received a diploma of I degree. Aigerim took part in the International Youth Parliamentary School “Youth Parliamentarism as a Basis for Sustainable Political Development and Partnership in the CIS”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg.
“We had two students from Kyrgyzstan. In general, the winners of the Internet Olympiad were from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, and Serbia, majoring in international relations, regional studies, political science. According to the program, we got acquainted with the work of the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. We listened to lectures by leading experts and experts on “International Parliamentarism”, “Workshops on information support of international government organizations.” There were also scientific debates in the Duma Hall of the Tauride Palace on the topic “Electronic voting: for and against.” As the speaker of the CIS national team, I advocated the simplification of electronic voting so that citizens can vote through their social media accounts. In the end, our team won. The awards were presented by Secretary-General of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Dmitry Kobitsky, “said Bolot kyzy Aigerim.
The event was organized by the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Eurasia-Volga Region Information and Analytical Center, and the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University.
