DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN, FEBRUARY, 2022: MENTORING IS ONE OF THE WAYS TO TRANSFER RICH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY TO A YOUNG TEACHER
At the department of SRS, an experienced teacher-mentor is assigned to each young teacher. The goals of the mentors are to help young teachers adapt to the conditions of the pedagogical activity, to give them the opportunity to reveal their professional qualities and creative abilities. To achieve these goals, the mentors of the department carry out the following work: they organize individual consultations, conduct lessons for young teachers, get acquainted with the experience of other teachers, jointly attend their classes with a young teacher and analyze, attend the classes of a young teacher, analyze their classes, get acquainted with the latest methodological literature. With a mentoring system, the benefits are two-sided: young teachers are enriched with pedagogical experience and the qualifications and professional skills of the teacher-mentor are improved.
