VII Regional Student Scientific Conference “Students and Scientific and Technological Progress”
Osh State University hosted the VII Regional Student Scientific Conference “Students and Scientific and Technological Progress” on November 28, 2020. This year it was organized online, taking into account the conditions of the pandemic.
The conference was attended by leading students, undergraduates, and their supervisors from universities in the southern region, vice-rectors for research, heads of science, and graduate schools.
Speaking at the conference, the Rector of Osh State University his excellency Kudaiberdi Kojobekov congratulated the participants of the conference. He also noted that in the future such conferences will produce doctors, professors, and candidates of science. Vice-Rector for Research his excellency Baiysh Osumbekov, Vice-Rector for Correspondence and Distance Learning her excellency Taasilkan Jumabaeva, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the University, Ph.D., Professor his excellency Kapar Zulpukarov also made welcoming speeches at the plenary session. The meeting was chaired by her excellency Guljamal Anarbaeva, Head of the Department of Science and Postgraduate Studies at Osh State University.

The conference continued in 11 sections, where each section conducted its activities in a separate online format.
“Regional Student Scientific Conference is held annually at Osh State University as a traditional event. This year the conference continues in an online format. The purpose of the event is to involve students in research, to deepen their knowledge, to develop their skills and abilities to apply in practice. At the same time, this event helps to unite the ideas of students and stimulate contacts of young people interested in science. The conference received about 300 scientific articles, which were discussed in plenary and breakout sessions, and the best speakers were awarded diplomas, “said Guljamal Anarbaeva, Head of the Department of Science, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of Osh State University.
