Osh State University hosted an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the poet, public figure, laureate of the Toktogul State Prize Jolon Mamytov on April 2.
The party was attended by a number of poets and writers, led by poet Atantai Akbarov, who presented their works to lovers of poetry. Ulukbek Omokeev, Director of the Public Relations Department of Osh State University, who was awarded the Jolon Mamytov Literary Prize, was congratulated at the anniversary event.
In the second part of the evening, creative people got acquainted with the educational experience and production facilities of the faculties of the university.
The poet Jolon Mamytov, who wrote lyrical songs and won the hearts of readers, died at the age of 48. The event dedicated to its 80th anniversary was held on April 1 at the Drama Theater named after S. Ibraimov in Osh.
