New Year’s Eve Gifts for Boarding School Children from the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Normal Physiology
On December 14, 2018, the teachers of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Normal Physiology of the International Medical Faculty, together with the 2nd year students, went to the Kara-Suu special boarding school for deaf-and-dumb children for a charitable purpose. The boarding house is home to only 175 people aged from 7 to 20 years. According to the head teacher of the boarding school, due to the location on the outskirts, few are aware of its existence. Children were incredibly welcome guests, especially our foreign students were interesting. Squeezing through the crowd, they with gestures asked the name of each of our students and tried to remember them. The students immediately began to practice sign language and try to communicate with them. The teachers together with the students distributed the gifts they brought: jackets, hats and sweaters. Students willingly helped dress children. And then a mini-excursion around the orphanage was organized for our teachers and students. According to the head teacher, they actively hold various kinds of sports competitions between students. Pupils offered to arrange a sports tournament between them and our students for the spring season. To which the students willingly agreed and promised to prepare. A lot of impressions left in the memory of this trip, both among teachers and students. Vulnerability, but at the same time, some invisible force inspired all the guests. Their charming and sincere smiles left none of them indifferent.
