Ismailov Shamshi Ismailovich (Obituary)
Professor Ismailov Shamshi Ismailovich, who worked for many years at the Department of General Physics and Methods of Teaching Physics, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Osh State University, recently retired, passed away prematurely on February 5.
Ismailov Shamshi Ismailovich was born on December 18, 1935 in the village of Kara-Kochkor, Kara-Kulja district of Osh region.
In the 1957-59 school year, he worked as the head of the education department at the secondary school in the village of Kara-Kochkor. In the village of Kara-Kochkor, Shamshi Ismailov was the first to receive a higher education and was the first graduate of this school to work as the head of the education department at his school. From 1959 to 1962 he worked as the first secretary of the Komsomol of Kara-Kulja district committee and secretary of the Komsomol of Osh regional committee. During these years, at the initiative of district and regional youth organizations, with the support of district and regional leaders, the general youth was encouraged to start the construction of the Kara-Kulja-Alaikuu highway.
In 1979 he successfully defended his dissertation on the radiation physics of solids at the Institute of Physics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences in Riga on “Comprehensive study of the mechanism of thermal decomposition of radiation microdefects in alkaline-halide crystals with various cationic compounds.”
From 1962 he worked at the Osh State Pedagogical Institute, then at Osh State University as the head of the department, teacher, senior lecturer, associate professor, dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, head of the Department of General Physics, professor of this department.
Shamshi Ismailov actively participated in scientific and practical conferences of various levels in Bishkek, Irkutsk, Riga, Chisinau, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Tbilisi, Lviv, Tartu, Tallinn, Kiev, Leningrad, Moscow, Tashkent, Kara-Kol, Osh. and published scientific and methodological works.
Based on the decision of the Kara-Kulja district council of December 22, 1999, the secondary school in the village of Kara-Kochkor was named after Shamshi Ismailov.

The bright image of our Master will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues, students and pupils.
