Doctors, residents, and students of the medical faculty of Osh State University provided medical assistance to the elderly, women, and children evacuated from dangerous villages on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border on May 1-2. Among them are members of the association “Healthy People”, formed by graduates of the medical faculty of Osh State University.
Doctors provided medical examinations, counseling, and medicines, especially to infants, nursing mothers, pregnant women, and residents with chronic diseases.
“Volunteer doctors were initiated by the director of the Institute of Advanced Training of Osh State University Abdijapar Akkulov. We conducted medical examinations and explained to the population about communicable diseases, “said Gulbara Tashieva, Deputy Dean of the Medical Faculty of Osh State University, a family doctor.
The Healthy People Association, initiated by graduates of the medical faculty of Osh State University, works as volunteers. Specialists in the field will travel to remote areas to provide free health check-ups and consultations.
