DEPARTMENT OF SHD, DECEMBER 2022: IELTS LANGUAGE TRAINING CENTRE
IELTS language training centre The main aim of this course is to help participants to improve their proficiency in Academic English, therefore the trainers are creating a learner-centered environment in the class and have chosen the following textbooks as a guidebook: 1. Oxford-Q Skills for Success Listening and Speaking -2 and 3, Reading & Writing-2 and 3; 2. Professional English in Use, Medicine. These guidebooks provide solid integration of all the skills for successful writing and publishing of scientific works of project participants. We are trying to engage our participants with plenty of materials on all language skills, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation as well in our classes. Academic language has a unique set of rules: it should be explicit, formal and factual as well as objective and analytical in nature. Students often think that academic language should sound complex and be difficult to write and understand but that is not necessarily the case. The main focus of each class is to connect critical thinking activities that engage the participants with thought-provoking questions on the given topic and language skills that enable the participants to meet their academic and professional goals which naturally involves speaking and its various subskills to develop learners’ self-confidence and improve their overall education in Academic English.
