British Ambassador visited Osh State University

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Osh State University Zamirbek Bojonov met with Ambassador, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan’s Charles Edmund Garrett.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation with universities in the UK, the implementation of educational programs, increasing the academic mobility of teachers and students. Ambassador Charles Edmund Garrett said that he will make every effort to strengthen relations with universities and develop new areas of cooperation.

He expressed interest in meeting with students of Osh State University during his visit to Osh, which is scheduled for October 2021. The UK’s global government program also provided information on the Chevening Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded for 1 year for a master’s degree. This scholarship was awarded in 2018 to Aizhana Toktoshosheva, a student of the Faculty of Business and Management of Osh State University, who studied at the leading University of Exeter in the country.
