March 24 – World TB Day. In this regard, Osh State University, the Republican Center for Health Promotion, the Osh Regional TB Center, and the Red Crescent Society held a public awareness campaign in the Alymbek Datka Park in Osh.
Participants were asked questions about tuberculosis and various competitions were organized. Brochures containing TB control programs were distributed.
The most common form of TB is airborne. However, if the patient is treated, it does not pose a threat to those around him. Therefore, experts say that people with symptoms should seek medical attention in a timely manner.
According to statistics, 5,000 TB cases were detected and registered in 2019 and 3,500 in 2020.
