A memorial evening dedicated to the komuz day was held at the Faculty of Arts of Osh State University
Osh State University on the Day of Komuz commemorated famous komuz players People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Fakhridin Bayakov and the best of culture Bekbolot Abduvaliev. The memorial service was held on September 11 in the courtyard of the Faculty of Arts of Osh State University.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Osh State University his excellence Zamirbek Bojonov, Vice-Rector for Distance and Distance Education his excellence Taasilkan Jumabaeva, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs his excellence Jyldyz Artykova, faculty and residents of the city spoke at the event.
Unique talents Farhidin Bayakov – a famous komuz player of the Kyrgyz people, professor of Osh State University, People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. The professor’s long life is closely connected with Osh State University. From 1973 to the end of his life he was a teacher at the Faculty of Arts of Osh State University, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor at the Department of Musical Instruments. He played the komuz at the Abdykadyrov Philharmonic Hall, mentored students at the Academy of Talents of Osh State University, and made a significant contribution to the transmission of great art to future generations. He passed away on January 12, 2018 at the age of 69. The master’s works will remain a lasting treasure for the younger generation.
Bekbolot Abduvaliev was awarded the badge “Best Cultural Worker” in 1964 in the village of Kyzyl-Senir, Uzgen district. From 1990 he worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Faculty of Arts of Osh State University. He founded and led the folk ensemble “Saltanat”, organized under the Faculty of Arts, and participated in many competitions and festivals in the city, region, and the country. At the same time, he taught komuz to the next generation and trained many of his students.
The participants of the party noted that it is the duty of the living to remember the great masters who have left an indelible mark on the art of komuz.
