The university functions as a network of already existing universities in the SCO member states. The training of highly qualified personnel in the framework of the SCO University is carried out in priority areas of cultural, scientific, educational and economic cooperation of the Organization′s member countries.

The training of highly qualified personnel is carried out according to the following types of educational programs:

  • Preparatory language courses
  • Bachelor degree (4 years);
  • Magistracy (2 years);
  • Postgraduate (3 years), provided for in bilateral agreements;
  • Doctorate (3 years);
  • Training programs, professional retraining, distance and full-time education.

The main languages ​​of instruction within the SCO University are the official language of the country of location and / or the official languages ​​of the SCO – Russian and Chinese.
